Three arrested for 1.57 crore burglary
April 29th, 2011 - 1:24 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 28 (IANS) Three people, allegedly involved in breaking into and stealing Rs.1.57 crore from an office in central Delhi, have been arrested and a large amount of the cash recovered, police said Thursday.
The burglary at the office of Tarun Goel and Company at Pal Mohan Plaza, Deshbandhu Gupta Road was reported Tuesday by the firm’s manager Harpreet Singh. When Singh arrived at the office Tuesday morning, he found it ransacked and the cash and a laptop stolen.
The three have been identified as Rajesh, 22, Sanjay Kumar, 26 and Sunil Kumar, 35.
“Police have recovered Rs 1.25 crore and documents of flat worth Rs 12.35 lakh from their possession,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Kishore.
