New Delhi, June 14 (IANS) A Delhi court Tuesday granted bail to three people, including a woman, accused of allegedly robbing a French man here two months ago.

Additional District Judge Ina Malhotra granted bail to Meenu Malhotra, Amit and Yash.

The court asked the trio to furnish personal bonds of Rs.25,000 each with two sureties of the same amount.

“As the complainant’s articles have been recovered and the complainant, a French national, is stated to be abroad, the chances of the accused tampering with evidence or intimidating the witnesses is remote,” said the court.

The three were arrested after French national Sebastien Marcaillou, working as a sales manager in a private company, lodged a police complaint that Meenu along with some others had robbed him April 16. After the police complaint, the three were arrested.

Marcaillou alleged that he knew Meenu for the last four years and when he came to Delhi April 16, she asked him to accompany her to her house and, on the way, she along with Amit, Yash and Naresh Kumar Gaur robbed him of credit cards, 200 euros, a gold chain, a watch, mobile phones and other valuables.

The court granted bail to accused Naresh June 13.
