Thousands rally for Hazare, Ramdev in Orissa
June 8th, 2011 - 8:27 pm ICT by IANSBhubaneswar, June 8 (IANS) Thousands of people across Orissa staged demonstrations and observed fast Wednesday to support Anna Hazare and Baba Ramdev in their anti-corruption campaign.
Bhubaneswar witnessed at least three sit-ins, with people shouted slogans against the central government for its alleged failure to check corruption.
“We want a corruption free society,” Pradeep Baisakh, a social activist who participated in a demonstration organised under the banner of “India Against Corruption”, told IANS.
Hazare sat on a day’s fast in Delhi Wednesday to protest against the post-midnight raid on Baba Ramdev and his supporters at Ramlila ground June 4.
