Thieves break into garment shop, loot Rs.1 mn

New Delhi, July 3 (IANS) Thieves decamped with Rs. 1 million in cash after breaking into a garment shop here, police said Thursday. The theft was detected when shop-owner Vikas Aggarwal opened his shop in Gandhi Nagar market in east Delhi Thursday morning.

“The shutters of the shop were broken and Rs.1 million in cash kept in the safe by his father Ashok Aggarwal were missing,” a police official said.

“Ashok had received the cash as payment and kept it in the safe. His servants are being questioned,” the police official added.
