Thiefs snatch purse, land in hospital

- Noida, Nov 22 (IANS) Two young men riding a motorcycle snatched a woman’s purse here Saturday - and landed straight in hospital. In a hurry to get away and seeing a police van chasing them, the duo crashed their bike into a car close to scene of the crime, the police said. “Praveen Kumar, 25, and Sonu, 24, were riding a motorcycle snatched a purse from a woman who was on a rickshaw at sector 61 at 3.50 p.m. Saturday. As they tried to get away, a police van chased them and the motorcycle collided with a car,” Noida Superintendent of Police A.K. Tripathy said.
“The two sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital. They received fractures on their hands and legs apart from other injuries,” Tripathy said.
“The two youths have been arrested. Appropriate action would be taken against them,” Tripathy added.
