America’s Got Talent is all about the hidden skills. The show features a range of hopeful stars, singers, dancers and comedians. The show average 115 million views , where 200,00 people are hopeful to win $ 1 million. The last decision is made by the audiences votes.
Terry Fator, a ventriloquist from Texas Dallas, won the America’s Got Talent 2008 second season and also received one million dollar.
Fator began learning ventriloquism from a book at age 10. He was the opening act for country stars such as Reba McEntire and Garth Brooks.Earlier, Terry Fator used to perform his comedy act at small venues and now, Terry will be in Las Vegas Mirage casino to perform for 48 weeks during the Valentine’s Day , 2009 after signing a 5 years contract at $110 million. It’s surreal’ says Fator, 43. ‘I feel like a Gilligan just inherited Thurston Howell’s money’.
Terry confessed to ET that he didn’t expect to win. ‘ I really didn’t', he said. The Texas native is now writing his autobiography (Who’s the Dummy Now? )and he fulfilled a longstanding dream when he appeared on The Late Show With David Letterman in May.
America’s Got Talent literally turned my life upside down, in all the greatest ways. I went from a complete and utter unknown to headlining the Mirage,” says Fator. “I had no intention of winning the thing. I was doing it to get fans and get on Letterman.”
The show was hosted by Jerry Springer and the judges are Daniel Hasselhoff , Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne. The finale also had a special appearance by Sean Kingston, Taylor Swift, UB40 and THE MUPPETS.
