Ten devotees killed in Bihar stampede
October 17th, 2010 - 10:15 am ICT by IANSPatna, Oct 17 (IANS) Ten people, including four women, were killed and 10 injured in a stampede at a temple in Bihar’s Banka district, police said Sunday.
The stampede took place in Tildiha village, about 200 km from here, late Saturday when about 30,000 devotees gathered in the temple to sacrifice goats on the occasion of ‘Navratri’.
The injured devotees have been admitted to a hospital for treatment, a police official said.
