Ten dead in Somalia bombing
February 9th, 2012 - 3:45 am ICT by IANSMogadishu, Feb 9 (IANS) A suicide car bomber Wednesday struck a hotel frequented by officials in Mogadishu, killing at least 10 people.
The attacker rammed his explosives-laden car into the boundary wall of Muna Hotel.
Ten others were injured, Xinhua reported.
“I know at least 10 people died and many others wounded,” Parliamentarian Dahir Abdelkadir Muse told reporters.
The hotel has been a target of Islamist militants as it is often visited by senior officials. In 2010, a number of lawmakers were killed there in a rebel attack.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
