Temple stampede: British minister expresses sympathy

- New Delhi, Sep 30 (IANS) British Foreign Office Minister Lord Mark Malloch Brown Tuesday expressed his sympathy for the victims of the temple stampede in Jodhpur that left at least 150 dead, a press statement issued here said.”I was shocked and saddened by reports this morning from India (about) a stampede at the Chamunda Devi temple in Jodhpur, Rajasthan,” Brown said in the statement.
“On behalf of the British government I wish to express my deepest condolences to the families of those killed and injured, as well as to the Indian people.”
