Temperatures dip in Punjab, Haryana
February 17th, 2012 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANSChandigarh, Feb 17 (IANS) Punjab and Haryana have witnessed a dip in average temperatures in the 24 hours to Friday evening, metrological officials said.
The temperature was bewteen three to seven degrees below average at various places. Amritsar in Punjab was the coldest with a minimum temperature of 2 degrees, five degrees below average. The highest temperature was recorded at 19.2 degrees, three degrees below average.
In Patiala, the temperature recorded was four degrees below average at a high of 19.7 degrees and a low of six degrees.
In Haryana, Narnaul was the coldest with a low of 1.6 degrees, seven degrees below average. The maximum temperature was at 20.4 degrees, four degrees below average.
Hisar recorded a high of 20.1 degrees and a low of three degrees, five and seven degrees below average. In Chandigarh, the highs and lows were recorded at 18.1 degrees and 5.9 degrees, five and three degrees below average.
Metrological officials said the weather would remain dry in the 24 hours to Saturday evening.
