Teenagers kill friend over cricket dispute
March 2nd, 2011 - 7:18 pm ICT by IANSBulandshahr (Uttar Pradesh), March 2 (IANS) A 17-year-old boy was killed Wednesday by three of his teenaged friends after they got into an argument while playing cricket, police here said. One of the accused has been arrested.
Luv Kumar was shot dead by the three youths, aged 18-19 years, in Aurangabad town, some 400 km from Lucknow.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that Luv had an argument with three of his friends while playing a cricket match with them. As tempers flared, the three first assaulted Luv in the fields and later shot at him while he was returning home. Luv died on the spot,” Police Inspector Subhash Kumar told reporters here.
“One of the three teenagers has been arrested. He has confessed to his crime,” added Kumar.
The other two are absconding, he said.
