Teenagers held for stealing six bikes in Delhi
October 21st, 2009 - 7:57 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 21 (IANS) A 19-year-old boy and a minor were arrested here for stealing six sports motorbikes from posh south Delhi area, police said Wednesday.
Salman and a juvenile were arrested last week for stealing six bikes from Vasant Vihar area.
The police said the two along with their third accomplice Vivek used these motorcycles for stunt and joyrides to impress their girl friends.
“Later, they would dispose off these motorcycles for Rs.2000-3000 to meet expenses in discos and to buy expensive clothes,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (south Delhi) H.G.S. Dhaliwal.
The police have recovered four Yamaha FZ and two TVS motorcycles from them.
Dhaliwal said search was on to nab Vivek, who was absconding.
