November 25th, 2008 - 7:46 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, Nov 25 (IANS) A teenager girl, suffering from mental disorder, has committed suicide by hanging herself at a state-run home for destitute women in West Bengal’s Howrah district, police said Tuesday.”Asha Banik, 15, hanged herself from the ceiling of a bathroom at the home. On finding the bathroom door locked from inside Tuesday morning, one of her roommates informed the home in-charge,” an officer of Liluah town police station told reporters.
He said the girl’s mental disorder may have led to the suicide late Monday night.
Banik was found wandering around the Howrah station September this year and was later shifted to the home at Liluah in October by the police.
