Technician killed in compressor blast
April 6th, 2011 - 12:00 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 5 (IANS) A 19-year-old technician was killed and his colleague injured in a blast in an air-conditioner’s compressor in west Delhi, police said Tuesday.
Guddu was killed and Om Prakash was injured Monday, police said.
“Technician Om Prakash and Guddu visited flat number 418 in B Block area of Meera Bagh in Pashchim Vihar to repair an air-conditioner around 12.30 p.m. Monday,” said a senior police officer.
During checks, the air-conditioner’s compressor burst, injuring the two.
“We rushed them to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, where doctors declared Guddu dead. Om Prakash is still recuperating,” said the officer.
