Teachers can lose job if they use tobacco in schools

Kanpur, June 23 (IANS) Teachers in government primary schools found chewing pan masala or tobacco during school hours might lose their job. Kanpur’s Basic Education Officer Rakesh Kumar said that the use of pan masala or tobacco in school would be banned from the coming academic session.

“Disciplinary action will be taken against those violating the order,” he said.

“Teachers will also be asked to ensure clean environment in schools. They will be held responsible if people spit on school walls.”
