Lucknow, Sep 8 (IANS) A teacher in a government-run school in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district has been accused of allegedly watching obscene clippings on his mobile phone in class and showing pornographic pictures to primary students, officials said Tuesday.
Shiv Kumar, a teacher with the Gulawati Primary School in Bulandshahr, will face action officials added.

“Parents of the primary school students Monday registered a complaint against the teacher,” Ramesh Chandra Verma, who is in charge of primary education in the district, told IANS.

“As the charges against Shiv Kumar are serious, we today (Tuesday) decided to order an enquiry against him. Till the completion of the enquiry, the teacher has been asked not to take the classes,” said Verma.

According to the officials, the parents in their complaint have also alleged that Kumar used to threaten students with dire consequences if they told the school principal or anyone else about the incident.

Bulandshahr is about 400 km from Lucknow.
