Lucknow, Oct 23 (IANS) A schoolteacher in Uttar Pradesh has been booked for allegedly sodomising an 11-year-old student, police said Friday.
Kiran Pal, 35, who teaches English at the D.S. Public School in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district, some 400 km from Lucknow, allegedly sodomised the student Thursday.

The victim, who is a class six student, was taking private tuitions from him.

According to police, the medical examination conducted on the student confirm sexual assault.

Pal is absconding.

“Five students, including the class six student, were coming to Pal’s residence in Sirsali town for tuition,” Deputy Superintendent of Police Anil Jha told IANS.

“While Pal allowed the other students to go after finishing the class, on the pretext of giving the 11-year-old some assignments, Pal asked him to stay in his room, where he sodomised the student. After committing the crime he also threatened the student of dire consequences if he told anybody about the incident,” he added.

Police have detained some teachers of the school for some clues regarding Pal’s whereabouts.
