Taxi operator found murdered in south Delhi
April 26th, 2010 - 11:51 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Apr 26 (IANS) A taxi operator was found strangled to death inside his car in Vasant Kunj area of south Delhi Sunday night, police said Monday.
“The body of Virender Yadav, 30, a resident of Mahipalpur, was found inside his car, parked in middle of a road in Vasant Kunj area yesterday (Sunday) night. The body was discovered by a policeman while he was patrolling in the area,” a senior police officer said.
Yadav was taken to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.
According to the officer, there were several injury marks on Yadav’s body and all his belongings were missing.
Yadav ran a taxi service.
“We are all probing the case,” the officer added.
