Taxi driver molests girl, held
July 1st, 2009 - 6:28 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Gangtok, July 1 (IANS) A taxi driver has been arrested for allegedly molesting a minor girl in the South district of Sikkim, police said Wednesday.
The 13-year-old girl had boarded the cab at Rabong and was due to alight at Satam, but the driver - Jas Hang Subba - did not allow her to step out of the vehicle Tuesday.
Subba, instead, drove her to Yangyang and molested the girl. She, however, managed to flee.
The accused, a resident of Upper Shripatam slum, Yangyang, has been arrested, a police officer said.
