Tallness linked to cancer
July 21st, 2011 - 6:37 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 21 (IANS) Taller people are more likely to get cancer, a study shows.
The risk of developing the disease in all forms rises 16 percent for every extra four inches in height in men and women, The Sun reported Thursday quoting experts.
Research leader Jane Green, of Oxford University, said tall people have more cells so there is a greater chance one of them could mutate.
Hormone levels that determine how quickly you grow as a child could also be a factor, the report said.
