Tainted Chhattisgarh engineer worth Rs.4 crore
June 22nd, 2011 - 11:56 pm ICT by IANSRaipur, June 22 (IANS) A Chhattisgarh engineer has illegally amassed assets worth at least Rs.4 crore, officials of the Anti-Corrouption Bureau (ACB) said Wednesday after raiding his premises.
Executive Engineer Rajkishore Harvansh is based in Bilaspur town, some 120 km from here, and was handling the central rural road scheme Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.
“The engineer’s premises were raided and based on initial calculations we can put his illegal assets at over Rs.40 million,” said an ACB official who did not wish to be identified.
