Swiss president rings Gilani over abduction (Lead)

Islamabad, Dec 16 (IANS) Pakistan has assured Swiss President Micheline Calmy-Rey that it is doing all it can to trace a Swiss couple kidnapped in July in the restive Balochistan province.
Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani gave the assurance during a telephonic conversation with Calmy-Rey, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported.
Ocholivier David and his wife Wipmerderielayy Omer were abducted by gunmen while travelling in Balochistan. Their vehicle was later found abandoned.
Gilani said security agencies were trying to ensure the safe return of the Swiss nationals.
