Sweltering Saturday for Delhi, Sunday to be same (Lead)
June 16th, 2012 - 9:27 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 16 (IANS) Delhi experienced a hot Saturday with the maximum temperature shooting four notches above average to 43.2 degrees Celsius. The weather department predicts similar conditions for Sunday.
“Sunday should see mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures expected to be 43 and 32 degrees Celsius, respectively,” an official at the India Meteorological Department told IANS.
Saturday’s minimum temperature also registered four notches above normal to settle at 32.4 degrees Celsius while the humidity readings showed a maximum of 43 percent and a minimum of 23 percent.
Friday’s maximum temperature was four notches above average at 43 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature settled three notches above average for the season at 31.5 degrees Celsius.
