Informed sources said that Inger Kristina Hardinz, 36, was boarding Indigo flight GE-196 when a live 5.56 mm cartridge was found in her hand baggage during the security check.
Upon interrogation, Hardinz, who said that she was a qualified arms instructor with the Swedish army, had “no idea” how the cartridge had slipped into her luggage.
Hardinz had arrived in India on Dec 23, 2011. She has been booked under the Arms Act and is presently in custody at the Vasco police station.
