Swedish national drugged, robbed
March 14th, 2011 - 9:18 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 14 (IANS) A Swedish national was drugged and robbed of his belongings here Monday morning. He is in a hospital after he was found unconscious outside a metro station, police said.
The man, identified as Mannie and aged 35 to 40 years, was sprawled outside the Paschim Vihar Metro station by a passerby, Deputy Commissioner of Police V. Renganathan said.
He was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital.
“He is not in a position to speak. He has told us his name. We have approached the Swedish embassy. We are waiting for Mannie to regain his health,” Renganathan said.
Mannie has told police that a few people drugged and robbed him.
