The MPC will be inaugurated by Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni Sep 20.
“Even though it will be inaugurated on Monday, journalists can access it only from Sep 23 that too from morning 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The centre will be open round the clock only from Oct 1-15,” he said.
He also informed that journalist with CWG accreditation card only will be allowed inside the MPC and 600 computers, with high-speed broadband internet connectivity, had been arranged for media persons.
A designated area for press and photo journalists has been provided in the facility. Apart from this, information on Games and transport facilities will also be available.
The centre was initially scheduled to be ready by Aug 31 but it got delayed.
Apart from this, the Games village media centre will have an international zone which would be open to pass-holding media only, he said.
