Suzlon Energy bags 50.4 megawatt order
April 20th, 2011 - 5:22 pm ICT by IANSMumbai, April 20 (IANS) India’s wind turbine manufacturing major Suzlon Energy Wednesday said it has bagged order to set up, operate and maintain wind energy projects of 50.4 MW from Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals (GSFC).
“The projects will be set up in wind farms operated by Suzlon in the Rajkot and Surendranagar districts of Gujarat,” the company said in a regulatory filing.
“This is GSFC’s fifth order with Suzlon and is scheduled for completion and commissioning by September 2011,” it added.
The new projects will increase GSFC’s total wind power capacity to 123.4 megawatt.
At the Bombay Stock Exchange the shares of the company were up 5.42 percent to trade at Rs.57.35.
