Suspicious bag outside IT office triggers panic
July 22nd, 2011 - 4:19 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, July 22 (IANS) An unattended bag found by a passer-by outside the Income Tax office off the upscale commercial district of Connaught Place in New Delhi area Friday afternoon created panic, a fire official said.
Fire officials said they received a call around 12.50 p.m. about a “suspicious bag” outside the Income Tax office at multi-storeyed Mayur Bhawan and rushed to the spot.
“We found that there was nothing in the bag which could have created trouble in the area. The area is secured, extensive checks were conducted,” the official said.
