Suspended Himachal cop surrenders
September 2nd, 2011 - 3:55 pm ICT by IANSShimla, Sep 2 (IANS) Suspended Indian Police Service (IPS) officer K.K. Indoria, on the run after being suspended for corruption in April, Friday surrendered in Himachal Pradesh, police said.
Additional Director General of Police K.C. Sadyal told IANS here that Indoria surrendered in Kullu, some 200 km away.
The sessions court in Kullu June 16 ordered the arrest of Indoria in a graft case registered by the vigilance and anti-corruption bureau.
Indoria, who was earlier superintendent of police in Kullu, got anticipatory bail from the Himachal Pradesh High Court March 1. The bail expired March 10. Indoria was suspended April 14.
