Suspected Maoists abduct two contractors in Jharkhand
February 8th, 2011 - 8:53 pm ICT by IANSRanchi, Feb 8 (IANS) Suspected Maoist guerrillas abducted two contractors from Jharkhand’s Latehar district, police said Tuesday.According to police, a complaint was lodged Tuesday in Chandawa police station of Latehar district which said that Bisawajit Bhattacharya and Rajkumar went missing Monday night.
They were working as contractors in Abhijit Power Ltd’s plant in Latehar.
“It seems that Maoists might have abducted them. We are still investigating the case. The role of criminals cannot be ruled out,” a police officer told IANS.
