Suspected ISI agent nabbed in Uttar Pradesh
September 18th, 2011 - 11:36 pm ICT by IANSLucknow, Sep 18 (IANS) A suspected agent of Pakistan’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) was arrested in Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh Sunday, police said.
“At this stage, I can only reveal Faizal Rehman has been nabbed by the sleuths of anti-terrorist squad (ATS),” police spokesperson Anupam Singh told IANS by phone from Kanpur, some 80 km from Lucknow.
He refused to divulge other details.
However, police sources said documents related to defence establishments in various districts of Uttar Pradesh were recovered from Rehman.
According to them, Rehman is a native of Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi.
