Support Anna at IPL matches: Lalit Modi
April 8th, 2011 - 6:37 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 8 (IANS) Sacked Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi Friday urged fans to carry flags and placards to IPL matches to express support to fasting Gandhian Anna Hazare.
“All fans attending IPL matches should carry flags and placards in support of the Jan Lokpal Bill. This will ensure the message reaches all,” Modi tweeted Friday.
Modi Thursday announced his support to the anti corruption crusade by Anna Hazare, whose fast in support of a stringent anti-corruption legislation entered the fourth day Friday.
Lalit Modi has been accused of financial irregularities, which are being probed by investigative agencies. The six-week long IPL tournament started Friday.
