Sunderland sign Davenport on loan
February 3rd, 2009 - 1:34 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )London, Feb 3 (DPA) Sunderland added defender Calum Davenport to their squad on Monday.The West Ham United centre-back joins on loan until the end of the season, and will link up with two former team-mates in the Sunderland back four - George McCartney and Anton Ferdinand.
He is the second central defender signed on loan by manager Ricky Sbragia in the window, following Israel international Tal Ben Haim, who joined from Manchester City.
Forward Michael Chopra has left the Stadium of Light, rejoining Cardiff City on loan until the end of the season.
