New Delhi, Jan 9 (IANS) Delhiites continued to enjoy bright and sunny mornings Friday with the weather department predicting shallow fog cover over the national capital in the days to come. The capital recorded a minimum temperature of 5.6 degree Celsius, which was three notches below average for this time of the season, while the maximum temperature hovered around 21 degree Celsius.

“The sky will be mainly clear and a shallow fog cover is expected early morning in the coming days. The weather will be dry over the national capital region,” an official of the Safdarjung Meteorological Office said here.

The domestic and foreign flights at the Indira Gandhi International Airport were running on their scheduled time as visibility was much above the required 750 metres on all runways, an airport official said.

But a Northern Railways official said: “Many trains are running behind schedule because of fog conditions. Several trains have also been cancelled.”
