Suicide bomber targeting Afghan minister killed
October 23rd, 2011 - 8:20 pm ICT by IANSKabul, Oct 23 (IANS) Police in Afghanistan shot dead a suicide bomber Sunday while he was trying to target Afghanistan’s Interior Minister Bismillah Khan Mohammadi, Xinhua reported.
“A suicide bomber, who attempted to target the motorcade of interior minister, was identified and gunned down by the police in Parwan province this afternoon,” Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi said.
“The interior minister is safe and sound and no one has been hurt except the suicide bomber,” he added.
