Rahul Mishra, a student of Government Inter College (GIC), shot himself with his uncle’s licensed gun in his house in Brahmapuri locality.
“Rahul first locked his room from inside and shot himself in the stomach. He died on his way to the hospital,” police inspector Rajendra Singh told reporters in Hardoi, some 110 km from Lucknow.
“Though no suicide note was found in his room, his parents told us that they had scolded him Sunday night for not being serious about his studies,” he added.
