Student kills self in BHU
February 22nd, 2012 - 9:53 pm ICT by IANSVaranasi, Feb 22 (IANS) A medical student committed suicide at the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) here Wednesday, after taking an overdose of anaesthetic drugs, police said.
Sumit Garg was a second year student of the anaesthesia department at BHU. A native of Sonepat in Haryana, his body was found lying on the bed of his hostel room in the campus.
Police said some syringes and sedatives were recovered from his room. No suicide note was found.
