Student killed in scuffle in Bengal
July 6th, 2011 - 8:37 pm ICT by IANSKolkata, July 6 (IANS) A Class 11 student was killed after he hurt his head during a brawl with a classmate within the school premises in West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas Wednesday, police said.
“Raju Mondal, studying in Gangapur High School in Regent Park, was pushed by his friend following a dispute. He fell down and sustained severe head injuries and became unconscious. He was rushed to hospital, where he was declared brought dead,” the district’s Additional Superintendent of Police (Industrial) Murli Dhar Sharma told IANS over phone.
No one has been detained so far, he added.
