Student kidnapped, Rs.10 million ransom demanded
December 19th, 2010 - 12:55 am ICT by IANSGreater Noida, Dec 18 (IANS) A Class 9 student has been kidnapped and Rs.10 million ransom demanded for his release in Greater Noida, police said Saturday.Sujeet Yadav (18), a resident of Ithera village, was missing since Dec 9. His father received the ransom call for Rs.10 million Friday.
“We are attempting to trace the criminals through surveillance on the mobile phone of the victim’s father,” said Superintendent of Police Atul Saxena.
Sujeet did not return home after he left home Dec 9 for BDS Public School, Vijay Nagar. His father, Satpal Yadav, lodged a missing complaint the next day, police said.
