Student held for making hoax bomb calls
March 31st, 2010 - 8:53 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, March 31 (IANS) A Class 12 student has been arrested for making hoax calls claiming that bombs had been planted onboard Indigo flights, police said Wednesday.
Debasish Banerjee, 18, was arrested from Kolkata for making two hoax calls from his mobile phone March 12 and March 13. He claimed that a bomb had been planted on Indigo flights at Delhi’s domestic airport.
“A case has been filed in the Dwarka court for giving mischievous and false information under proper sections of Indian Penal Code. The mobile phone from which the calls were made has been taken into police custody,” said a police officer.
