Student fired at, injured in Delhi
December 29th, 2011 - 12:51 am ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 28 (IANS) A 32-year-old student of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was fired at by an unidentified person in his home here, police said Wednesday.
The shooting was reported Tuesday around 10 p.m. in east Delhi’s Kalyanpuri area.
“Sachin, a BA student, was at his home when somebody knocked the door. He answered and an unidentified person asked him to call his mother. The moment Sachin turned around to call his mother, the man opened fire at him,” a police official said.
The bullet grazed Sachin’s stomach. He was taken to hospital and discharged after treatment.
A case of attempt to murder has been registered.
