Strong quake shakes southern Iran
September 10th, 2008 - 7:13 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Tehran, Sep 10 (DPA) A strong earthquake Wednesday jolted the southern Iranian province of Hormuzgan, the Khabar news network reported.The quake, with a magnitude of 6.1 on the Richter scale, shook mainly the provincial port of Bandar Abbas, causing panic among residents.
It was not immediately clear whether there were casualties or damage.
