Street vendor kills woman for talking to other men
November 11th, 2009 - 10:49 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )New Delhi, Nov 11 (IANS) A street vendor allegedly killed a housewife, with whom he had an affair, for talking to other men, the police said Wednesday.
Dhirender Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was arrested Tuesday for the murder of Samikasha Verma at her Tagore Garden home in west Delhi last week.
Police seized a dagger, blood stained clothes, currency notes, a mobile phone and a bicycle from him.
The police said he sold coconuts near the woman’s house when he came in contact with her.
“Verma asked him to deliver coconuts at her home. When he came to deliver them, she invited him inside and praised him for his built. She told him that she had a divorce and had re-married. Since marriage, her husband was living in Dubai and she needed help for daily domestic work,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (west Delhi) Sharad Aggarwal.
The police said the two started having an affair.
“When he came to know that Verma was also talking to some other men, he objected and asked her to break relations with other people,” he added.
When she continued to talk to other men, he couldn’t bear it and stabbed here, police said.
