Steel trader robbed of Rs.12 lakh in Ghaziabad
August 26th, 2009 - 11:52 pm ICT by IANSGhaziabad, Aug 26 (IANS) A steel trader was robbed of Rs.12 lakh in cash by four armed men here Wednesday, police said.
The incident occurred Wednesday evening in the Raj Nagar locality under Kavi Nagar police station in Ghaziabad.
“Sanjiv Kumar Gupta had just returned to his house and parked the car when three men came to him and at gunpoint robbed a briefcase containing Rs.12 lakh in cash, which was kept in the car boot,” a police officer said.
“The fourth man was on the motorcycle outside,” the police officer added.
“The criminals might have followed Gupta from his office at Navyug Market and executed their plan swiftly. We have registered the case,” Senior Superintendent of Police Akhil Kumar said.
