Srinagar students accuse teacher of molestation
May 23rd, 2011 - 8:44 pm ICT by IANSSrinagar, May 23 (IANS) Students of a public school here Monday came out to block the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road alleging molestation of a girl student by a teacher.
Police had to intervene to disperse the students.
“One girl student was molested by a teacher of the school. We want him to be brought to justice immediately,” one of the agitating students said.
Meanwhile, a police statement issued here in the wake of the incident said: “Police have taken cognizance of an alleged incident of misbehaviour in a school which was brought to its notice.
“The matter is being thoroughly probed and strong action will be taken against the accused, if proved.”
