Spurious liquor kills four in Bihar, three held (Lead)
July 11th, 2011 - 5:51 pm ICT by IANSPatna, July 11 (IANS) At least four people were killed and two hospitalised after consuming spurious liquor in Bihar’s Bhojpur district, police said Monday. Three people have been arrested.
“Four people died late Sunday night and two were admitted to a government hospital in critical condition. All of them are from Vaina village,” a police officer said.
The victims purchased the alcohol from a shop in their village. They complained of stomach ache and started vomiting after consuming it.
“I have ordered the arrest of the shopkeeper,” Bhojpur Superintendent of Police M.R. Naik said.
So far, police have arrested three people.
