Speeding car kills two pavement sleepers
June 17th, 2011 - 8:23 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, June 17 (IANS) Two men sleeping on a pavement were crushed by a speeding car here, police said Friday. The driver has been arrested.
The incident took place early Thursday near the Nigam Bodh Ghat cremation ground when a Tavera car hit a road divider, spun out of control and ran over five people on the pavement, an officer said.
The car came to a halt after colliding with a truck. The men died before they could be taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
