Speeding buses crush one to death in Uttar Pradesh

Noida, Feb 29 (IANS) Two buses, taken on hire by a multinational company here, crushed to death one person Friday while trying to overtake each other. According to the police, two buses transporting staff members of Samsung Electronics Ltd were speeding to overtake each other when they hit a man crossing a road opposite the civil courts.
The deceased was later identified as Nihar Naik.
Eyewitness said the buses were racing at high speeds when the driver of a bus lost control and it collided with the other bus. Many passengers were also injured in the accident.
Drivers of both buses are absconding. The police have seized the buses and registered a criminal case against the two drivers.
