Son stabs mom in head
June 4th, 2011 - 9:24 pm ICT by IANSLondon, June 4 (IANS) A mentally disturbed man has been locked up indefinitely at a secure hospital here for stabbing his mother in the head, a media report said.
Mushtaq Javed’s mother, Nayyah, pulled the blade from her head and went into a trance till an ambulance arrived. She was left with a deep cut but recovered, Daily Mirror reported Saturday.
Javed, 23, bent the kitchen knife in the assault last July before he fled and attacked three schoolgirls in the street.
After his arrest, Javed asked police: “When will I know if she’s dead or in hospital?”
Javed, of Slough, Berks, was ruled unfit to enter a plea at Reading crown court.
But jurors were satisfied he committed the crimes and he was sent to a secure unit, which is a building or part of a building where dangerous prisoners or violent psychiatric patients are kept.
