Son of retired cop abducted in Uttar Pradesh
September 21st, 2009 - 7:06 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Agra, Sep 21 (IANS) The 14-year-old son of a retired police inspector was kidnapped for ransom of Rs.10 lakh here, police said Monday.
Rakesh Mohan was kidnapped Sep 14 when he went to attend his coaching class.
“When Rakesh didn’t return for long, we started searching for him. We found his bicycle in Sector 16. Then we looked for him at his friend’s house, but still we didn’t find him. Later, we lodged a missing complaint,” Rakesh’s father Brij Mohan told IANS.
“We received a ransom call Sep 17. The kidnappers demanded Rs.10 lakh. We informed the police and the case was converted to one of kidnapping on Sunday,” Brij Mohan added.
According to police, a special team has been constituted to find the boy and nab the kidnappers.
